The Fall Odyssey catalog includes a Perspective titled, “Value the Vote: Commemorating the Women’s Suffrage Centennial.” This perspective meets on Wednesdays, Sept 16-Oct 7, 6:30PM-8:00PM.
In these four sessions, we will explore Johns Hopkins University’s ties to women’s suffrage and shares research and archival collections curated to commemorate the centennial anniversary of the 19th Amendment. Experts will discuss key women in Hopkins history such as Mary Elizabeth Garrett, postcards and games used to propagate ideas about suffrage, Johns Hopkins medical ties to suffrage, and the role of music within the movement.
Read more about this perspective and check out all the virtual course offerings for the fall 2020 semester on the Complete Listing page of the Odyssey website.
